Global Projects.
Route Position have true global experience, working in projects on 6 continents & the Arctic. We bring the depth of this knowledge into every project, diving into the details of marine risk to delivered robust, low-risk routes & confidence in selected landing sites.
Our ability to communicate & share our lives through the global network is more important than ever, but these new connections also drive the world forwards – by providing the opportunities for a region or country to take control over their own economic future. This is the momentum driving Route Position.
Geographically, these are some of the world’s largest engineering projects, yet Route Position are confident that we can partner with you, bringing our industry experience & meet all the challenges ahead.
Route Position is at the forefront of re-risking subsea cables, leveraging new technologies that have never been applied in the industry. As we work on global projects, we ensure that our subsea cable solutions not only meet the demands of system’s life, but also lay the foundation for a future of uninterrupted connectivity.
Landing Site & Marine Feasibility Study
We are there from Day 1 to support Project Inception; Remote & on-site landing site assessments which leverage the latest technologies, designing low-risk marine routes, creating of ‘Request for Tender’ Technical Specifications for 3rd party DTS contracts, defining budgets and assessing technical proposals for study scope.
Cable Route Desktop Study (DTS)
Desktop Study is the essential tool for de-risking any subsea cable project. Route Position implements the most advanced tools in the industry and takes a deep dive into all the elements that can impact permitting, marine and terrestrial design, installation and longevity.
Drone LiDAR Surveys
High-precision topographic landing site surveys, using the latest technologies to quickly render a site in a 3D point cloud with corresponding aerial imagery (all tied to project datums). Data is used to make critical engineering decisions, as every site feature is recorded and measurable with centimeter precision.
Cable Route Engineering (CRE)
Expert low-risk route design with cable and burial specification using the latest MakaiPlan Software. Marine engineering that minimises fault risk and ‘installation surprises’.
Cable Route Survey (CRS) Contract Management
We develop relationships with marine & terrestrial survey suppliers, create survey RFT packages, evaluate and negotiate tenders including assessment of technical compliance, manage scheduling & marine permitting support.
Project Management of Marine and Terrestrial Survey
Project Management of Marine and Terrestrial Survey acquisition operations including HSE. Quality Control of incoming data, defining additional survey to support engineering, reporting quality, budget management, selection or supply of appropriate field representatives.
Business Development Consultancy
We work with OEMs and their cutting edge-technologies to identify potential markets within the global marine industry.
Attending many marine and subsea cable conferences globally each year, we are able to find quality leads, where the products or services will have a real application or planned project to be used on.
