Subsea Cable Consultancy & Program Management – Driving the Solutions
Subsea Cable Consultancy
Tailored solutions to support prospective Cable System Owners from project inception. Providing accurate technical & strategic insights on all marine & terrestrial pieces of a planned telecoms system, integrating with the Client’s team & driving the project towards their goals.
Project Management
Proactive planning & project management over the implementation of new subsea telecoms cables. Managing marine, terrestrial, equipment & permitting suppliers, project budgets & schedules, QHSE, reporting and optics, all as a seamless part of the Client team. Leveraging the latest technologies to de-risk & support each system.
Proactive Project Management of all the pieces; Site selection, Desktop Studies, Permitting Scope, Terrestrial Design, Cable Route Surveys, Front Haul Construction, Wet plant supply, Shore End & Wet plant Installations, Testing & Acceptance, Close-out project phases.
Landing Site & Marine Feasibility Studies
We are there from Day 1 to support Project Inception; Remote & on-site landing site assessments which leverage the latest technologies, designing low-risk marine routes, creating of ‘Request for Tender’ Technical Specifications for 3rd party DTS contracts, defining budgets and assessing technical proposals for study scope.
Cable Route Engineering (CRE)
Expert low-risk route design with cable and burial specification using the latest MakaiPlan Software. Marine engineering that minimises fault risk and ‘installation surprises’.
Drone Landing Site Assessments
In-person landing site assessment (following remote study) to assess viability. While on site, information is gathered through trained assessment and conversations with locals & officials. At the same time, high-precision topographic landing site surveys are completed using the latest UAV (drone) technologies to quickly render a site in a 3D point cloud with corresponding aerial imagery (all tied to project datums) and 4K video. Formal reporting with UAV data used to inform critical engineering decisions, as every site feature is recorded and measurable with centimeter precision.
Technical Management of Marine & Terrestrial Surveys
Project Management of Marine and Terrestrial Survey acquisition operations including HSE. Quality Control of incoming data, defining additional survey to support engineering, reporting quality, budget management, selection or supply of appropriate field representatives.
